Verizon is sending out the system updates for a whole range of smartphones from Samsung.
There is one Samsung Galaxy Tablet included in this list as well. In most cases, it is the latest Android security update patch that is going out as the software update. Verizon says the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series phones are also receiving performance improvement updates.
In the case of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series flagships, there are many new features being added. The software versions of each of these devices are listed against them. If you were to own any of these Samsung devices, you can check if the version in your device matches with the one appearing here.
Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Tab S4
The two smartphones and one tablet from Samsung sold through Verizon get the October Android security update patch. For the S4 tablet, this is the 8th system update whereas for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, it is the 29th update sent out by Verizon.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+ and Note 10+ 5G
The Samsung Galaxy Note series smartphones are devices launched very recently by the South Korean company and this is only their second system update from Verizon. The carrier has added in the update page that besides the October patch of the Android security update, this pack includes certain performance improvements as well.
Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e
The Samsung Galaxy S10 series flagships were released in March 2019 and this is the system update No.8 for these devices. Verizon mentions that there are many new features coming with this update.
These include the AR Doodle, Night Mode for the front selfie camera, Live Focus for video, enhanced super steady video stabilization and a video editor in the gallery app. In addition, there are more features like the Samsung Dex for PC, Link to Windows and Dynamic Lock Screen. Samsung has added the Game Booster feature also in this update pack.
The latest October Android security update patch is also forming part of this firmware update to these Galaxy S10 series phones.
