Several devices sold and serviced by Verizon including the latest flagships like Google Pixel 4, 4XL are now getting the system updates from the carrier.

As you would expect, the key component in the update files to the various devices is the respective Android security update patch sent by Verizon. In a few cases, there are some performance improvements included.

Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL

The Verizon notes included in the update pages of these two smartphones from Google mention that there are performance improvements included in them. The Android security update patch dated October 1 is part of the file too. This is Verizon’s first update to these brand new devices.

Motorola Moto e6, Nokia 3V and LG V50 ThinQ 5G

The three devices from three different smartphone manufacturers are receiving the latest October Android security update patches. The Nokia 3V smartphone included here gets some performance improvement software changes as well.

Verizon GizmoTablet

The Verizon branded GizmoTablet is receiving a lot of updates this time. To sum up the contents of the update file for this device, the key element is the upgrade to the Android Pie, version 9.0 operating system, duly built with the corresponding Samsung One UI. The other changes included in the update are the features of Pie OS namely Adaptive Battery, Digital Wellbeing, and Night Mode and improved camera performance.

Each of these updates will introduce the users to fresh appearances and improved functioning of the tablet. The Android security update patch for this Verizon GizmoTablet is dated August 2019. This is the third system update for this tablet.

Samsung Watch Active 2

The major change being brought about in the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is to change the Touch Bezel setting to ‘On’ by default. With the Touch Bezel feature, you can swipe around the edge of the dial to scroll the screen swiftly. The other change is the improvement in GPS performance. Notice that the system update versions are different for 40mm and 44mm dial sizes.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 Refresh

The Galaxy Tab E is getting is 7th update from Verizon and this includes only the latest security patch updates dated October 1, 2019.
