After recently confirming Samsung’s next Note as the Note 7, Evan Blass, a reliable online leakster, has revealed its specs as well.
The Note 7 is to be released some time during August first week, or rather August 2nd to be more precise.
Note 7 Leaked Specs
Evan Blass has leaked the probable specifications of the upcoming Note 7 in the @evleaks Twitter account. According to these leaks, the device will come with a screen of 5.7 inches and will be supported by a Super AMOLED, QHD display. AS for the camera, the rear camera has a resolution of 12 MP and it is reported to be a dual pixel type of camera, and the front camera will have a 5 MP resolution. The internal memory of the device will be 64 GB and it will offer options for expanding the storage with the use of a microSD slot.
The mobile device will come with IP68 certification and will offer Ingress Protection, similar to the one offered by the S7. This is an important aspect, as the Note series brings in the S Pen, which is removable. It is not known exactly how the company has managed to work around the S Pen for protection. In order to claim protection and this kind of certification, the pen has to be inserted in the device and must fit perfectly, but all these are mere speculations about the design at this point of time.
The @evleaks source also confirmed the presence of an iris scanner on the device. However, it is not known exactly how this feature will work on the device. This is the most interesting feature so far revealed about the upcoming device. It is rumored that Samsung has been working on the feature for its devices from 2012. The company has finally reached a decision to use it in its commercial smartphones. With the iris scanner feature, there is more security available, as it is capable of recognizing 266 traits, when compared to just 40 traits by the normal fingerprint scanner.
A Different Name
The new specifications are sure to sweep users off their feet and give them ample reasons for upgrading from their present Note 5. However, users are not likely to see the next Note 6 after the Note 5. This is because the company is most likely to skip the number six and go directly for the Note 7. All other details regarding the device, such as the features and the launch time continue to remain as mentioned, only the name has changed. However, many people are still referring to it as the Note 6/Note 7, as there is a lot of uncertainty about the name. Evan Blass has, however, confirmed that the name will be the Galaxy Note 7.
Earlier, it was reported that the new Note 7 would come with Dual Edge, similar to the S6 Edge. The Note 7 is to be made available in three-color options of black and silver as well as blue.
