Samsung SM-G5510 with 5-Inch Display and Android Marshmallow Spotted on TENAA

Samsung SM-G5510

Samsung has a new phone in the making – an affordable smartphone in the shape of Samsung SM-G5510. Apparently, this handset has been spotted on China’s TENAA, meaning that its release is imminent.

Earlier spotted on GFXBench and India’s import site Zauba, Samsung SM-G5510 is an affordable smartphone that is aimed for the low-end markets of India, China, and other regions across Asia. One of the major highlights of the handset is that it will be based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, one of the most wanted mobile operating systems of today. In addition to this, the SM-G5510 will also include a 5-inch HD display panel that manages a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Under the hood, Samsung SM-G5510 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, which is a quad-core processor that is clocked at a speed of 1.4GHz. The chipset is paired with a RAM of 2GB and there is 16GB of onboard storage. This is a great specs combination for an entry level smartphone and it gets even better as the handset also comes with support for 4G LTE connectivity alongside the usual suspects of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. The charging and data transfer port is a microUSB and the phone has a decent 2600mAh battery unit.

Camera-wise, Samsung SM-G5510 packs a decent 13MP snapper on the back and an even better 5MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls. Other than these, there is little that can be said of the SM-G5510, especially when it comes to the pricing as well as expected release date. But given that the phone has passed through TENAA, it is possible that it is facing an imminent release.

Furthermore, there is little about the regions that Samsung SM-G5510 will be sold. Apart from the listing on Zauba and TENAA that basically confirms its availability in India and China, respectively, there is no word on its availability in other regions. But this should be known once the device is out. Keep following us!
