The Sims 4 is a tad confusing because the story always takes place in a city with peaceful neighborhood and very limited activity.
Everything is about to change with the new City Living expansion pack. EA and Maxis have brought another DLC to the Sims 4 and this time they are going to push people into a metropolitan city bustling with activity. For a long time, the game was limited to some random city that had very little people around. Once you start living in the city, you are going to face a lot of new things. Bright festivals, celebrations, huge malls, loud neighbors and the constant sirens of cops.
The news was revealed in an official blog post. Maxis confirmed that the new expansion pack will be available on both Macintosh and PCs. As part of the package, the developers offer five different festivals to take part in. The Geekcon which is similar to comic con but it will be filled with technology, gadget lovers, romance festival, and many more in the list. They are supposed to give you a complete experience of living in a bustling city.
Apartments are a completely new addition that will put players in the midst of a bustling residential area. Changes will be limited to decors and furniture. There is no option to modify the layout of the apartment as you usually do with an individual house. For those who have managed to earn a lot and rent a pent house in such a huge city, the experience will be totally different and more sophisticated. However, the pent houses will be rolled out at a later date as a part of the City Living expansion pack.
Maxis and EA has commented that they haven’t revealed everything about the expansion yet. It is evident that changes are going to be plenty in this amazing DLC. The Sims 4 which is somewhat of a lukewarm game at the moment is getting spiced up with newer packs being rolled out from time to time. You may have to spend more to grab them all but it is definitely fun when there are new things being added every three months or so.
