Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are the flagship phones from one of the most trusted manufacturers in the world.
The company does their best to roll out new features with fast turnaround times but it does get delayed when the mobile carrier couldn’t support it.
Luckily, Sprint has not made their customers wait much as they have officially rolled out the Calling Plus features on both the flagship smartphones on their network. Most features rolled out by Google Android and by individual manufacturers had to be supported by the mobile carrier in order to provide the best end user experience. The more features any phone has, the easier it is for people to rely on it and get their everyday tasks done with ease.
With the new Calling Plus functionality, Sprint customers will have the freedom to make calls using any WiFi network and they will also be able to make use of the popular VoLTE connection. The VoLTE technology was not provided on Samsung Galaxy S8 duo as Sprint had some technical difficulties in implementing them.
The company in their official website announced that users will be able to download the latest update which will allow them to experience the new feature. The version G950USQU1AQGLis for the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone while the Galaxy S8 Plus users will get G955USQU1AQGL. A complete changelog of the changes that are coming to these phones were listed. It includes improved security features, enhanced messaging technology, multiple bug fixes, improved device performance, new additions and the ability to make calls over Wifi which is being denoted as the Calling Plus feature.
Samsung on the other end are doing their part to make sure their users receive the latest updates. The company has rolled out the August security update for the two phones which will be about 600MB. Users living in specific regions including Germany, United Arab Emirates and Turkey will be receiving this update first after which it will eventually be rolled out to everyone else. The security patch also fixes some frequent and most cited issues related to auto brightness and PC connection stability improvement.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are easily the best flagship Android phones that you could purchase at the moment but if you do like the iOS as well, it should be wise to wait for a couple of weeks for the Apple iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus to get launched.
