The SUV is the biggest market which continues to grow and expand in various streams.
The new Vauxhall Grandland X SUV aims to make a mark in this highly competitive yet lucrative segment by offering something that buyers can’t resist.
The new Grandland X is expected to solve the needs of buyers in every segment by offering a balanced car that is spacious, efficient and most of all packed to the brim with all essential features. It is being made to take down power players like Volkswagen Tiguan and the SEAT Ateca. The company has also announced the official pricing for the model which starts off at £22,310. A slightly disturbing fact is that the overall price of the base model is higher when compared to the Ateca by SEAT but close to the Peugeot 3008. The latter model and the new SUV from Vauxhall shares the same platform which could be the reason behind this price increase.
Once again, the developers behind the SUV had ensured that when they increase the price of the car they should provide some kickass features to justify it. The entry level SUV comes packed with a large 8-inch screen which is connected to the Intellilink infotainment setup and supports satellite navigation. The car has large 18-inch alloy wheels providing the best ground clearance combined with climate control and OnStar assistance system specifically for the Tech Line Nav variant.
Safety features like traffic sign recognition, blind spot warning, lane departure warning and automatic wipers, headlights are also bundled within the car to offer the perfect SUV experience buyers are looking forward to. The SE model priced at £22,485 has a smaller 7-inch infotainment display, supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto with 17-inch alloy wheels and all the other basic features.
Vauxhall is not going to simply stop with just two as they have two more premium trimline models. The Sport Nav is one of them priced at £24,595 and there’s the top of the line Elite Nav which will set you back by £26,660. Under the bonnet, the Vauxhall Grandland X SUV is powered by 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine rendering about 128 horsepower and a 1.6-liter diesel engine that delivers 118 horsepower.
The big debut for the Grandland X SUV will take place at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show scheduled to happen in the month of September. The production for this SUV will be carried out in France on a platform that is already being used by Peugeot cars as part of their acquisition deal.
