The new software update from Verizon brings the October 2021 security patch to Galaxy A50, Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, Pixel 6 series, while the Moto E Prepaid is getting an older security patch.

The October 2021 security update has started hitting Galaxy A50 and Galaxy Z Fold3 5G on Verizon’s network. Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are also getting performance improvements, in addition to the new security patch, while the Motorola Moto E Prepaid is receiving the August 2021 security patch. Samsung Galaxy A50 and Galaxy Z Fold3 5G

Verizon-bound Galaxy A50 and Galaxy Z Fold3 5G start picking up the October 2021 security update. It is rolling out as the 25th system update for Galaxy A50, while the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G is receiving the 2nd system update. As detailed by Samsung, the new security patch fixes over 60 system security and privacy vulnerabilities. The changelog has no mention of any other changes. So, the update only brings a new security patch. South Korean giant has already started rolling out the November 2021 security patch, which debuted on Galaxy S21 series. Hopefully, the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy Z Fold3 5G will receive it in the coming weeks. 

Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are receiving their first system update from Verizon that brings the Android security patch level to October 2021. The devices are also getting performance improvements. It is a minor security patch update. So, don’t expect to see any new features or UI changes.

Motorola Moto E Prepaid

System update number 10 is rolling out to the Moto E Prepaid on Verizon’s network. It brings the August 2021 security patch for protection against different kinds of exploits. The changelog does not mention any other changes, apart from a new security patch.
