The latest software updates from Verizon cover a range of devices and brands including Samsung, Motorola and Asus.
While the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 10 devices and Motorola smartphones receive their August and July patch updates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 receives Android 9 Pie OS upgrade. ASUS ZenFone V model gets the Android Oreo update from Verizon.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10, 10+ and 10 5G
This is the most recently released Note series flagships from the South Korean major and have been in the market for just a couple of weeks. Verizon is sending its first over the air update. This update covers the latest Android security patch of August 2019.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5″ and Tab A 8.0″
The 10.5-inch Galaxy Tab A is getting its 4th software update which has the July update of the Android security patch, the latest for this Samsung device.
On the other hand, 8.0-inch Galaxy Tab A gets a major OS upgrade to Android 9 Pie, which also includes July security patches. This is the 6th update for this tablet and this update will bring all the features of Pie OS to this tablet, including Digital Wellbeing, Adaptive Battery and Night Mode.
Motorola Moto E4 Gold & E4 Prepaid
These two Verizon devices of Motorola brand receive their system updates from the carrier. This includes the July updates of the Android security patch for the respective devices. This is the 4th update for Moto E4 Gold and 12th update for Moto E4 Prepaid.
Motorola Moto Z2 Play
This Motorola device is getting its system update No. 14 from Verizon and this has the June patch of the Android security, the latest released by Google for this device.
ASUS ZenFone V
This ASUS device was launched in 2017 with the Android Nougat OS. This is just the second Verizon system update for the ASUS ZenFone V and is getting the firmware upgrade to the Android Oreo, version 8. The latest Android security patch dated March 2019 is the other update provided to this device by Verizon.
