Verizon is sending out the latest software updates for the Google Pixel range of phones starting with the Google Pixel up to the most recent Google Pixel 3a XL.
These updates contain only the latest Android security patches released by Google for the respective devices.
Google Pixel & Pixel XL
Verizon is pushing through the August 2019 security update patch for the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones, which were the first phones in the Pixel series. This is the 35th update from Verizon for these phones.
Google Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL
The second edition of the Google Pixel series phones too are getting the latest Android security patch for the month of August. These devices, released a year after the original Pixel phones, are getting the software update number 22 from Verizon.
Google Pixel 3 & Pixel 3XL
Google released four devices in the Pixel 3 series, two in October 2018 and two more watered down models in 2019. Verizon is now sending all of them the latest Android security update patch. Pixel 3 and 3 XL phones are getting their 10th update from Verizon which again contains only the security patches dated August 1, 2019.
Google Pixel 3a & Pixel 3a XL
Google took the step of bringing more users of smartphones into its customer fold by releasing the budget edition of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL calling them the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3 XL. These were released at much lower prices than their 2018 counterparts. The phone, released just a couple of months back, is receiving this 3rd software update from Verizon in the form of the latest security patch.
