Last year, HTC 10 was among the first devices to be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, however, the story has been quite contrary compared to Verizon-based variants.
However, this is about to come to an end as the VP of Product Management of HTC has just confirmed that Verizon users of the HTC 10 will begin receiving the update to Nougat as from this Thursday, which falls on March 30.
Verizon users of HTC 10 have indeed been patient, especially since the likes of T-Mobile and Sprint rolled out their updates to the flagships a few weeks ago, but it is still better late than never. Despite the long wait, the update doesn’t bring the newer version of the update, v7.1.1, which means that the phone will also have to go through another wait before receiving this update or the newest v7.1.2.
HTC 10 Verizon owners! Greatly appreciate all your patience and support. N OS is here! We have TA and OTA to start on Thur 3/30. Thank you!

The HTC 10 started receiving Android 7.0 Nougat OS back in 2016, but this was restricted to the unlocked variant. The update has been spreading across the globe for the same SIM-free variant, but when carriers started joining the party, as usual, Verizon was left behind.
The update will hit the HTC 10 as an OTA and as such, the rollout will be gradual. This means that some users will receive it ahead of others, but you can keep on checking if the update is ready to download on your phone by going to Settings>About phone>System updates>Check for updates. Since this is a major OS, the update will be heavy. Make sure you are connected to the internet via Wi-Fi, unless you are using an unlimited data plan.
