San Diego Comic-Con offered comic and video game fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future.
They had a look at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer and a lot more content might be showcased in the times to come. There is a strong chance of Marvel working on a few other Black Panther projects apart from this film. If a prominent industry insider is revealed, a new video game on Black Panther is in the development stage.
This information has been shared by Jeff Grubb, who seems to be using this particular piece of news to create some hype around his show the Giant Bomb Game Mess. Grubb posted a tweet wherein he stated that the trailer for Wakanda Forever is “great” and that one should look forward to the Black Panther game now. Grubb seems to have got some information about this particular project from a reliable source.
Many fans have pointed out that the way it has been worded, there could be some other meaning behind Grubb’s tweet. His tweet has paved the way for several discussions in the online Black Marvel communities.
Some players have stated that Grubb could have made a mention of Black Panther: War for Wakanda DLC release that was carried out for Marvel’s Avengers in 2021. There is also a possibility of him referring to the Black Panther: Jungle Pursuit game. It must also be remembered that a Black Panther game was developed long ago but was canceled because of some reasons. There is a possibility of Grubb referring to that.

In order to have a bigger footprint in the gaming space, Marvel has licensed out most of its superhero titles to different developers. While Square Enix is in charge of developing Marvel’s Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, Insomniac has been given charge of the Wolverine and Spider-Man games. Marvel fans are keenly looking forward to the release of a tactical RPG named Midnight Suns and the mobile card game Marvel Snap.
If the Black Panther game is indeed in its development stages, there is no clarity about who is handling it. Fans would definitely prefer a Black Panther game over games made on some of the other Marvel characters in the recent past. Since the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to release in November, fans would be looking forward to hearing an official announcement about the game before that.
