Vivo V5 Plus is just days away from being launched and in fact, the phone was recently spotted in Indonesia in readiness for a local launch probably towards the end of this week.
Just days ago, the Vivo V5 Plus was reportedly certified in Indonesia, prompting rumors that the phone could be launched by the end of this week. The same phone is also expected to be launched in India on January 23, which is Monday next week. However, before this happens, we have gotten our eyes on all the specs and features that this phone will be coming in with – and you’ll love them.
Recent rumors have revealed a mixed set of specs and features that the Vivo V5 Plus will reportedly be coming in with, with some differences appearing on the choice of the processor version to use. Previously, it was rumored that the midrange phone will carry a Snapdragon 652 SoC, but other reports pointed to a Snapdragon 430 SoC, the same version used on the new Nokia 6 midranger.
Well, it appears that none of these reports was right as a new leak has just emerged showing the entire list of specs and features that the Vivo V5 Plus will come equipped with. For starters, the phone will ship with a 5.5-inch Full HD display screen that resembles its predecessor, but the Vivo V5 had a 720p resolution, which means there is a huge improvement in picture quality to expect. Deeper into the phone there is a Snapdragon 625 processor that will be clocked at a speed of 2.0GHz and is paired with a RAM of 4GB and 64GB of onboard storage.

The highlight of the Vivo V5 Plus is the front camera, which will ship with a dual lens setup with a 20MP lens and another 8MP lens boasting what the company calls the Selfie Softlight. On the back of the phone is a 16MP snapper that should deliver quality images. To keep the phone alive is a decent 3160mAh battery unit with support for fast charging technology. The phone will be compatible with both GSM and CDMA carriers as well as support LTE connectivity.
Android Marshmallow will be running the show right out of the box, but the company has its own FuntouchOS 3.0 running on top of the stock Android OS. You don’t have to worry about forgetting your passcode or pattern for unlocking the Vivo V5 Plus, instead, the phone will come with a faster fingerprint scanner for better privacy. All these are crammed into a body that measures 152.58 x 74.00 x 7.26 mm and weighs 158.6g.
The Vivo V5 Plus is expected to be launched this week Friday, at least for those in Malaysia, with the Indian market poised to see the phone beginning January 23. Keep following and we’ll let you know more about the specific release date and pricing details of the phone.
