Vivo Y21s (V2110) with 5,000mAh Battery Spotted on FCC Certification, Launch Imminent

Upcoming Vivo Y21s has now bagged approval from FCC certification thereby hinting at an imminent launch.

Vivo is gearing up to launch a tweaker version of Y21 dubbed Vivo Y21s. The upcoming Y21s carries model number V2110 whose moniker was recently confirmed by the GCF certification. Now, the smartphone has popped up on FCC certification which reveals some key details of the phone.

As per the FCC listing, Vivo Y21s has a rated battery capacity of 4,910mAh and a typical capacity of 5,000mAh. The handset measures 164.26 × 76.08 × 8.0 mm and weighs nearly 180 grams. In terms of connectivity, the phone features Wi-Fi 2.4/5GHz, Bluetooth, and GPS/Glonass/BDS/Galileo.

FCC listing reveals that the Vivo Y21s supports the ‘BK-C-32’ model charging cable, which confirms the USB Type-C. Also, the phone supports the ‘XE160’ model earphone which confirms the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Vivo Y21s was recently spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench with key specifications. It revealed that the phone is powered by the ARM MT6769V/CT chipset which is nothing but the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. The SoC is coupled with 4GB RAM which managed to pull off 3,363 points in single-core tests and 1,353 points in multi-core tests on Geekbench v5. The device boots Android 11 OS and is likely to come with Funtouch OS 11 skin at the top.

As of now, Vivo has not revealed the launch details for Vivo Y21s. Since the device has bagged multiple certifications, we are likely not too far away from the launch. The smartphone is expected to launch as a tweaked variant of the Vivo Y21. Geekbench listing also suggests that the phone will bring a more powerful processor than the original Y21. The phone could also bring several camera improvements.

The smartphone offers a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and a waterdrop notch to house the 8MP front-facing camera. It boasts a dual-camera setup on the back which includes a 13MP primary shooter and a 2MP macro shooter. 

Under the hood, Vivo Y21 is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage, further expandable using a dedicated microSD card slot. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Other notable specs include – USB Type-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
