A brand new smartphone, the Vivo Y55 is coming soon. The TENAA certification revealed the model’s specifications and some photos before the official launch.
The phone has some decent specifications and is expected to be priced in the mid-range category. The Vivo Y55 listed in the TENAA website is of the rose gold variant. It sports a 5.2-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Under the shell, the phone is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa Core processor, has 2GB of RAM and provides up to 16 GB of internal storage space.
As expected, the storage space can readily be expanded up to a massive 128GB using a micro SD card. The phone runs on the last Android 6.0 Marshmallow version and we can’t confirm whether the company will upgrade it to the Nougat version. Considering the processing power of the device, it is possible to make it run Android 7.0 without any difficulty. However, phones by specific brands usually don’t focus on upgrading to the newest operating systems as it requires plenty of time spent in beta testing as well as ensuring the stability of the OS after launch.
On the front end, the Viva Y55 model has a 5 megapixel camera while the rear is dominated by a 8 megapixel camera. The phone uses a 2650 mAh battery which is more than enough to keep it powered up all day long because of the reduced screen size and the HD ready resolution. The model is about to get launched real soon and pricing will vary based on the region you live in. The TENAA specifications are acquired from a Chinese website where the phone has been tested for approval. When it gets launched, we will be able to review it further and see how it justifies its price tag. You can check out the image below. It gives a good idea of how the phone’s design is.
