The Chinese mobile behemoth Vivo has been a dominant force in the country for quite some time now.
From their native markets to India and South America, Vivo has never been shy of expanding their range of products to distant corners of the world. As a company, they have always focused on making well rounded affordable devices that offer a little bit of everything. Now they are planning to start selling their latest Vivo Y71, Y71-A smartphones in the next few days or weeks.
Vivo Y71 and Y71-A recently passed certifications in TENAA and we can look forward to the device being released anytime in the next few weeks. However, what is interesting is that the company has not come out with any information about such a model in the works. A similar situation had arisen with the Vivo Y85 earlier.
Pictures of the phone recently showed up on TENAA. The Vivo Y71 and Y71-A have a sleek and stylish body and give off a very classic look and feel. In these images, we can see the gorgeous full screen display, a thin sleek frame and a single camera on the back of the phone. There also seems to be no notch on the top of the phone like some of the other recent phones. Once can also see the very much visible antenna lines along its back. There seems to be no fingerprint sensors on the backside which is oddly surprising as most phones at this price range usually have them. But all in all, it looks like a decent looking device for its price.

Vivo Y71 Hardware Specs
The Vivo Y71 has a 5.99 inch TFT display with a display resolution of 720×1440, aspect ratio of 18:9 and 16 million color screen depth. Currently the only color available is a beautiful rose gold so if you were looking for options, you might end up disappointed. The smartphone also comes with a Quad Core 1.4 GHz processor and 3 GB RAM. For now the onboard storage seems to be just 16 GB but you will be able to expand it with the help of microSD card.
The Y71 will also come with Android 8.1.0 Oreo which is great and has dual cameras. The rear camera comes with 13 MP of photographic goodness whereas the front one comes with 5 MP which aids in taking selfies and video calling. The 1.4 GHz processor might be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 but it is only speculation at this point. The battery included is 3360 mAh.
The Y71 and Y71-A have almost identical stats with very minor differences. The former supports supplementary services like number identification, call transfer, call waiting and call hold while the latter doesn’t. Apart from a few minor differences, there doesn’t seem to be any big changes between the two models.
As for the price of the device, rumors suggest that it would be around 10,999 INR which translates to USD 169. This is on par with the pricing of Redmi 5 though, with much better specs.
