Earlier this week, fresh details of the Xiaomi Mi 6 appeared online in form of leaked images. From the leaks, it was clear that the Mi 6 will come in without a 3.5mm audio jack.
In addition, the same leaks revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will also ship with a waterproof body, possibly IP68 certified. To add more details on these, a new leak has surfaced courtesy of benchmarking platform GFXBench.
Even though the listing doesn’t rightly indicate that this is a Xiaomi Mi 6, the presented specs sheet says it all. The phone has been listed as Xiaomi Sagit and it comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat running the show, with the usual MIUI skin on top.
The benchmarks further reveal that the Sagit will ship with a 5.1-inch display screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which are typical Xiaomi Mi series display specs. Previous rumors have claimed that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will come in with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and to no surprise, the benchmark confirms this rumor, revealing a chipset that is clocked at up to 2.4GHz. This chipset has been paired with an Adreno 540 GPU, which adds more weight to the assumption that this Sagit phone is the rumored Mi 6.
As for the memory, there are no surprises as well. Where the base model will ship with a RAM of 4GB, the high-end variant will come in with a bigger RAM of 6GB. There are also two storage options of 64GB and 128GB. The Xiaomi Mi 5 had a 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variant, but there were three storage options of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. As usual, we expect support for microSD card storage to be part of the specs sheet.
When it comes to the camera, the Xiaomi Mi 6 gets a 12MP lens on the back with AF, LED flash and support for 4K video recording. Even though not indicated, there has been talk of a dual-lens setup on the back. The front part gets a major bump from last year’s 4MP to an impressive 8MP. Like the main shooter, this one also supports 4K video recording.
Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to be unveiled this month, but the dates are still unclear. Leaked prices have pointed towards a starting price of just $290, all the way to just $390 for the 6GB/128GB version. If these materialize, the Mi 6 will indeed be a flagship killer, well ahead of the rumored OnePlus 5.
