Xiaomi Mi 6 was announced on April 20 and at the time, the Chinese OEM confirmed that the phone will be sold in up to four color variants of blue, black, white and the high-end ceramic black.
Up to now, the Mi 6 has only been available in a handful of color variants, but this will change beginning tomorrow, July 18. The company has confirmed that starting tomorrow, fans of the phone will be able to pick any of the four color variants at the same time, something that has not been possible since the phone’s release a few months ago.
At the moment, there’s no word on whether the number of units available will be limited, especially since previous cases have seen the phone being overwhelmed by the excessive demand. Also, the ceramic black variant has always been available in limited quantities, but Xiaomi has not said a word on whether this will still be the case.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 will start selling tomorrow at 10 AM Chinese time and it will be priced at CNY 2499, which is about $370. Of course, this price is for the base model, which has a 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The high-end variant has 128GB of internal storage and the same RAM package.
Other specs of the Xiaomi Mi 6 include a 5.15-inch 1080p display screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, a dual 12MP+12MP camera on the back and an 8MP shooter for selfies, a 3350mAh battery unit with fast charging technology via USB-C port and Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. However, be warned that the Mi 6 has no 3.5mm audio jack, just like the cases of HTC U11, Moto Z and Apple iPhone 7, among other handsets.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be available via the official mi.com website.
