Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 with model number 2016118C has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site today.
The listing reveals that the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 888+. It also suggests that the Mi MIX 4 could be the world’s first phone to arrive with the new SD888+ chip.

The 2106118C Xiaomi phone is powered by a Qualcomm chip that includes four CPU cores working at 1.80GHz, three CPU cores ticking at 2.42GHz, and a prime core that clocks at 3.00GHz. These specs are a good hint that it is powered by the all-new Snapdragon 888+ chip.
The SD888+ SoC is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 888 that works at 2.84GHz. The Geekbench listing further states that the smartphone will come equipped with 12 GB of RAM and it will run on Android 11 OS.
It was previously believed the Honor Magic 3 series debuting on August 12 will be the first smartphone to feature the SD888+ chip. Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 is scheduled to launch earlier on August 10. Hence, it is likely to launch as the first Snapdragon 888+ SoC-powered flagship.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 Specifications (Rumored)
The Mi MIX 4 is likely to feature a 6.6-inch full-screen OLED panel with FHD+ resolution, an in-screen camera, and an in-display fingerprint reader. It is expected to arrive with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

It may feature a 50MP (Samsung GN1s) triple camera system. The device may house a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging and 70W or 80W wireless fast charging. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the device.
The Aug. 10 launch event is also expected to see the arrival of the Mi Pad 5 series of tablets. It is speculated that Xiaomi may also showcase the all-new MIUI 13 at the upcoming unveiling event.
