Xiaomi Redmi Y3 is about to be launched on the 24th of April at an event in Delhi University. The Geekbench listing found today has confirmed some of the specifications of the phone like the processor, RAM and OS.
Redmi Y3 is powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset (MSM8953) and the Geekbench listing confirms the presence of 3 GB RAM and Android Pie as the operating system. The single and multi-core geekbench scores for this phone are 1236 and 4213 respectively.
Redmi Y3 Geekbench specs are similar to that of Xiaomi Redmi 7. Even the Geekbench scores of Redmi 7 are very similar to the Redmi Y3 phone which suggests that Redmi 7, which was released in China during mid-March, could be released in India with the Redmi Y3 moniker on the 24th.
The main difference between Redmi 7 and Redmi Y3 is the presence of 32 MP selfie camera which is the highlight feature. Rest of the specs are pretty much the same including the camera specs and battery of 4000 mAh.

Even the MD Manu Kumar Jain has been quite active in the past few weeks on Twitter sharing key details about the release of the upcoming Redmi Y3. He even shared puzzles as tweets which had the emphasis on the number ‘7’, which could be another hint that Redmi 7 would be renamed as Redmi Y3 in India.
Even the front and rear images of the Redmi Y3 as seen in the tweets closely resemble the design of Redmi 7. Let’s just wait for a couple of days to confirm the exact identity of the phone that will be released as Redmi Y3.
