The alleged Realme 9 with RMX3388 model number was spotted at the BIS and EEC authorities earlier this month. This device has also been approved by the FCC authority.
The FCC certification has revealed the images and key specs of the device. While the final name of the RMX3388 is not known yet, the rumour mill believes that it may debut with the Realme 9 moniker.
Purported Realme 9 (RMX3388) Design
The FCC documents the images of the prototype unit of the Realme RMX3388. It also includes the user manual of the device. The images show that the device features a punch-hole at the top-left corner of its screen. Its right edge has a power button integrated with a fingerprint scanner. Its left side features a volume rocker.

The bottom edge of the device is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille. The rear side has an LED flash assisted triple-camera unit. An image of the 18W charger, which may accompany the device is also seen in the FCC images.
Alleged Realme 9 (RMX3388) Key Specifications
The Realme RMX3388 measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.5mm and it houses a 6.5-inch display. The device is equipped with a 16MP front camera and a 48MP + 2MP + 2MP triple camera unit.
The device carries support for 5G bands such as n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n77, and n78. It also offers other connectivity options such as Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC.

The design and specs of the Realme RMX3388 are identical to Realme 8 5G that has an RMX3241 moniker. The FCC documents state “Except model name, and FCC ID number change, the EUT [equipment under testing] are electronically/ electrically identical to the original equipment and that the original test results continue to be representative of and applicable to it.” Here the original equipment could be the RMX3241, which features the Dimensity 700 chip. The RMX3388 could be equipped with a different SoC.
