Aston Martin is now at the popular Goodwood Festival of Speed and they are not alone as they have brought their superfast Vulcan AMR Pro car to the event.
It is a race track only package introduced by the automobile manufacturer at the festival.
The Vulcan is a fast car already which has now received the AMR Pro Performance sports package. The company confirmed that it will be made available for all the Vulcan owners, only 24 of them to be precise and they will be able to experience the additional speed it has to render. The extensive aerodynamic package is capable of significantly improving the performance of the model in approved tracks which is also made possible with the help of a fully retuned gearbox.
The aero work is the most prominent change that anyone can spot instantly on the Vulcan. The wheel arches have been heavily modified allowing the vehicle to get better aerodynamics and new dive planes are now added near the nose. A new engine cover panel is also used in the car which is at least 5 kilograms lesser in weight when compared to the older one.
When it comes to aerodynamics, no car is complete unless modifications are made to the front and the rear. The car’s rear wing is another new addition which is quite larger than most expected combined with a second plane. The rear wing endplates are equipped with 15mm Gurney flaps and there’s an additional 20mm Gurney flap which works together to significantly reduce the downforce of the car. The objective is to keep it as low as the range topping Vantage GTE.
The center of pressure of the Aston Martin Vulcan AMR has been shifted to the middle of the car so that it is evenly balanced at its top speed. The car is powered by the same 7.0-liter V12 engine which renders more than 800 horsepower and is naturally aspirated to keep it as one of the fastest cars in the segment. Aston’s engineers have modified the engine to provide shorter gear ratios, an even punchier acceleration for that oomph factor to make the AMR Pro upgrade package worth the upgrade.
Vulcan owners will be delighted to receive the Pro Package, opines the engineers at Aston Martin. It has been specially designed by the Q special operations division. The upgrade will rollout in Autumn and will take some time before it reaches all 24 of them.
