The collaboration between Disney and Square Enixresulted in the Kingdom Hearts franchise which emerged as one of the most loved gaming franchises ever.
With the large number of IPs it owns, Disney has produced a variety of games that are in sync with its sensibilities. Disney Dreamlight Valley, which is the newest offering by the company, will give players the opportunity to live closer to some of its most iconic characters.
In the gaming space, the Kingdom Hearts has, perhaps, the biggest success story spawned by Disney. The company has created several games revolving around the different characters in the Kingdom Hearts. Recently, Disney made an announcement about Disney Speedstorm, the popular crossover kart-racing game, arriving on Xbox and PlayStation. In the past, Disney has created gaming franchises out of popular characters like The Lion King and Aladdin. Disney Dreamlight Valley seems to have been designed towards leading Disney franchises in a space that would have a balance of adventure and life simulation.

On Wednesday, Disney made an official announcement about Disney Dreamlight Valley through the game’s newly launched YouTube channel. When you watch the trailer, you realize Dreamlight Valley has several interesting elements including a sense of adventure. In this game, players will get the opportunity to customize the appearance of their character. They will also have the chance to design their home themselves. One of the highlights of the game is the fact that players will get to interact with characters from different franchises like The Lion King, Frozen, Moana and many others.
Largely, the trailer looks very bright and colorful. The opening scene of the trailer, however, suggests that it could have a slightly dark undertone to it. Some of the most popular villains from the franchise are expected to make an appearance in the game. Though the trailer only features Ursula from The Little Mermaid, there is a strong chance of several villains being an integral part of the game.
While the release date for Disney DreamlightValley has not been revealed yet, it has been confirmed that the game will be launched on all leading platforms.
