In February, the official announcement of Disney Speedstorm came through. For a while, one had been waiting to hear more about this free-to-play game.
Now, Disney has announced the names of the platforms on which it will be available to be played.
The game, which was designed as a competitor to Mario Kart, would offer a conventional split-screen view. Apart from offering the online multiplayer feature, it will also provide cross-platform functionality. For the longest time, there was quite some suspense about the platforms the game will be released on. When it was announced, the company teased the gamers about the game arriving on PC and consoles but no other information was released.
A recently released trailer offered a glimpse of the kind of gameplay Disney Speedstorm would offer along with information on the platforms one would be able to play this game on. Towards the end of the video, it is confirmed that it will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The first trailer of Disney Speedstorm had confirmed that players would be able to play the game as Captain Jack Sparrow, Mickey Mouse, Mulan, Donald Duck, Goofy and several other popular characters. This is one feature that is expected to attract a lot of young players to the game.
A couple of days back, it was announced that Baloo the Bear from The Jungle Book would feature as one of the members of the prestigious Brawler class of racers. Apart from the Brawlers, the Pixar and Disney characters would also be able to play the game as Speedsters, Tricksters and Defenders. There is also a possibility of themed karts being introduced in Speedstorm. These themed karts would complement the look of the characters driving them and bring more vibrancy to the game.
