Paradox Interactive made an official announcement about Shadowrun Trilogy: Console Edition by releasing a trailer on Wednesday. In the month of June, the isometric RPG will get a release on different consoles like Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation. Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as stated earlier, will get to play it for free.
The Shadowrun Trilogy has already been launched on Steam as a package consisting of Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut, and Shadowrun Hong Kong. Players can pre-order the Shadowrun Trilogy from the gaming publisher at a discount of 25%. This discount enables you to buy the gaming trilogy at $29.99 instead of its original price, which happens to be $39.99.
Shadowrun Returns is an RPG that was released in the year 2013 and is inspired from the Shadowrun tabletop RPG. The game is set in a ‘cyberpunk future’ where high-end technology and magic co-exist with each other. In this world, different types of creatures like goblins, dragons, elves, dwarves and orcs co-exist with cybernetics and mega-corporations.
The game, which is set in the year 2054, features the player finding their way out of a conspiracy while investigating a murder that happened in Seattle. Shadowrun: Dragonfall happens to be a standalone expansion where players work towards saving Berlin from an angry dragon. Its sequel Shadowrun: Hong Kong offers one a glimpse of invention of several futuristic devices to regulate the activities of Qi.
All the three games in the trilogy have been hugely successful and rated very highly on different forums on the internet. While the PC version of Shadowrun Returns boasts of a Metacritic score of 76%, Dragonfall and Hong Kong have scored 87% and 81%, respectively, on the same platform.
