For users who are wondering how you can actually squeeze an all-metal smartphone, you have been doing it all wrong so far.
Several videos explained how the functionality actually work and it does look nifty.
Google is now very interested in borrowing the technology from HTC and implementing it in their own Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones. For the HTC’s handset, most reviewers opined that it is more of a gimmick and hardly got any real job done. But, when the same technology is incorporated in one of the best Android smartphones of the season made by none other than Google, the squeeze may actually work, right?
Right now, it’s too early to comment or come to a conclusion on whether the Google Pixel 2 is a great smartphone or not. Based on the updates received so far, the phone will allow users to summon Google Assistant when they squeeze the phone. You don’t have to do it too hard until it hurts your fingers. The original HTC phone that launched the unique concept allowed users to specify the level of pressure they like to apply before any particular app is opened. It avoids you from accidentally holding your phone too hard and opening Google AI often than originally planned.
Another interesting rumor is that the new Vanilla Android smartphone will feature Boomsound stereo speakers for maximum volume and sound quality even when used in loudspeaker mode. Despite all the good news, there is something bad that you should brace yourself for. Google wants to get rid of the headphone jack finally in the lines of Apple and HTC introducing a single USB port that will do all the jobs at once. If a headphone need be connected, it will become mandatory to buy an adapter and carry it around always.
The new Google Pixel 2 is expected to have a storage size of 64GB and will most probably be powered by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 836 chipset. Android O will be the newest operating system and it will be running on the Pixel 2 smartphone out of the box, making it the only device you could have which runs on the OS while all other flagship models will receive O in the following months. The flagship smartphone is scheduled for launch in the month of October, very close to Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus launch as these smartphones will compete for the customer’s wallet this holiday season.
