Grand Theft Auto 6 To Release Sooner Than Expected, Claims Insider

GTA 6

Ever since Rockstar Games confirmed that it is working towards developing the next installment of Grand Theft Auto, there has been a lot of speculation about what one should expect from it.

Though the game has not been officially titled Grand Theft Auto 6, the pattern which the publisher has followed so far to name its names indicates that it will be called the same. There has been a lot of discussion about its release date but nothing has been confirmed from the gaming publisher yet.

The majority of fans believe there is a long time for the game to come out. Their assumption is based on the kind of time Rockstar Games takes to develop its games. There was a two-year gap in the reveal and release date of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 5, the most recent games released by Rockstar Games. Fans expect the gaming publisher to continue following this pattern for their forthcoming releases as well. Taking these factors into consideration, GTA 6 should not come out before the year 2024.

A reliable Rockstar Games insider, however, has a completely different opinion on this. As per the insider, GTA 6 will be released much before fans expect it to. Though the claims of the insider contradict popular opinion, he seems to be saying this with good reason.

The aforementioned insider is Tez2, who has shared information about GTA games at regular intervals in the past. The insider has confidently asserted that the game could release anytime in the next 12-18 months. If this particular claim made by Tez2 turns out to be true, fans would get to play GTA 6 next year itself.

Recently, there were rumors about GTA 6 undergoing a reboot in 2022 and the game wouldn’t see the light at least for a couple of years. Tez2 has dismissed these rumors by stating that there is not an iota of truth in them. He stated that Rockstar Games has been quite proactive about making working conditions better for their employees and in such a scenario, they wouldn’t ask them to reboot a game that is around a year and a half away from its release.

Whether the statements made by Tez2 are authentic is something time will tell. However, his claims are definitely going to have a calming effect on all those anxious fans who were worried about having to wait for a long time for the much-awaited game to release.
