Rockstar Games has decided to release the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 editions of Grand Theft Auto V on March 15.
So, fans will just have to wait for less than two weeks to experience it. This new port has been titled the Expanded and Enhanced Edition and the gaming publishing company plans to drop it at 10 am EST.
For the longest time, fans had been wanting to have some details pertaining to this upcoming edition and the many features it will have. While Rockstar Games has shared a list containing the names and details of some of the new features, it has not offered a gameplay preview till now.
Released on November 11, 2021, the Definitive Edition Trilogy happens to be Rockstar Games’ last big release. Now, if one analyzes the timing pattern followed by Rockstar Games so far, one can get a fair idea about the date and time on whichGrand Theft Auto V will be launched in the United States.

In Los Angeles (Pacific Standard Time), it is expected to get a launch at 07.00 hours. In Mexico City (Mountain Standard Time), the launch should take place at 08.00 hours. As far as Chicago (Central Standard Time) is concerned, it should be released at 09.00 hours. Those living in New York (Eastern Standard Time), could look forward to the launch at 10.00 hours.
On community forums, players have been discussing as to why Rockstar Games is spending time and energy behind launching a new port when preparations are being made to give GTA 6 a final shape and form. The reason behind the development and release of this new port could be attributed to the fact that Grand Theft Auto 5 proved to be an excessively profitable game for the gaming publisher and it wants to capitalize on it in every possible way.

This also explains why Rockstar Games is trying to keeping the interest of GTA 5 fans alive by offering them multiple platforms to play it on. While it’s true that GTA 6 is being developed, there is a long time for it to release. The wait for a new GTA game has never been a short one. Till then, Rockstar is expected to keep coming out with newer methods and tricks to sustain the hype and popularity around GTA 5.
This updated edition of Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online is all set to arrive nine years after GTA 5, in its original avatar, was introduced to gamers. At that time, it was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Rockstar Games plans to take GTA Online forward as a standalone title and will keep updating it with features that would be exclusive to it.
