iQOO U5 Pricing Confirmed, Sale Begins on January 1

iQOO U5 pricing has been officially confirmed. The handset carries a starting price of 1,299 CNY ($204) in China.

For those who are unaware, the company had unveiled it silently alongside the iQOO Neo5S and iQOO Neo5 SE smartphones on Dec. 22. The handset will be available for purchase starting from January 2022.

The iQOO U5 comes in three options such as 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. They are priced at 1,299 CNY ($204), 1,399 CNY ($220), and a 1,499 CNY ($235). The handset is now available for pre-order starting from today in the home market, and now its sale will begin on January 1. It can be purchased in colors like Dark Black, Magic Blue, and Silver White.

iQOO U5 Specifications

The iQOO U5 mid-range phone has a 6.58-inch AMOLED screen that delivers a Full HD+ resolution and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. The device runs on Android 11 that is skinned with iQOO UI 1.0. The U5 has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Its rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Snapdragon 695 chipset powers the iQOO U5 with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It comes in 128GB UFS 2.1 storage trim only. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging over USB-C.

iQOO U5x Coming Soon

The iQOO U5 has arrived as the successor for the iQOO U3 handset. Rumors have it that iQOO is also working on another model called the iQOO U5x, which will replace the iQOO U3x handset. The U5x is likely to feature the Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset. However, its other specifications are under the wraps.
