The Oppo R11 and it’s bigger counterpart Oppo R11 Plus will be unveiled in about ten days from now. The phones have been all over in the rumor mills, with the Chinese OEM throwing in a bunch of leaks and teasers to spice up things ahead of release.
We’ve seen several leaked images and alleged specs of the phone and if anything, what is only left is for Oppo to make the phones official. As part of these leaks, the latest comes in the form of a video teaser from the company – a video that leaves nothing about the phone’s design to the imagination.
Just like it has been leaked in different images including those from TENAA, the teased Oppo R11 has a sleek metallic design and a back panel that houses a dual-lens camera. Of course, the video doesn’t give out any more details about the specific specifications of the cameras or even the display screen and other internal hardware, but it does mention that the front camera will ship with a 20MP lens while the rear shooter will be equipped with a 20MP+16MP dual-lens setup, just like the rumors have claimed.
Speaking of rumors, the Oppo R11 has reportedly been cleared by China’s TENAA and so far, we have all the details regarding the internal specs. If all goes according to plan, we’ll see two phones that are equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and paired with a RAM of 4GB alongside 64GB of expandable internal storage.
Where the Oppo R11 will ship with a 5.5-inch display screen with a 1080p resolution, the Oppo R11 Plus will come in with a bigger 6-inch 1080p panel. Due to the bigger size, the latter will also come with a bigger 4000mAh battery unit as opposed to the former’s 3000mAh unit. Both handsets will support fast charging technology. The cameras will also be the same on each model.
For the OS, the Oppo R11 duo will ship with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box but as expected, the company’s ColorOS 3.1 skin will be running on top of the stock version. Oppo is expected to make the phones official on June 10, which is when the pricing details will be revealed.
