It is not often that you see in-world events being incorporated in Red Dead Redemption 2.
While Rockstar Games is known to incorporate many such elements in Grand Theft Auto Online, you don’t really get to know what time of the year it is while playing Red Dead Redemption 2.
Such tactics not only help in making a game more popular but also contributes towards monetizing it further. This explains why the gaming company has decided to incorporate Christmas-themed elements in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Recently, many players were pleasantly surprised to see snowfall happening in Red Dead Redemption 2 while playing the game. Not just one location but snowfall was seen to be happening at every location a player went to during the course of their mission. A large amount of snow amassed on the ground and lent a very Christmas-like vibe to the entire setting. As players logged into the game, they found snowfall happening at every nook and corner.
Since something of this nature had not happened in Red Dead Redemption 2 earlier, it left a lot of players confused and even, bewildered. While some called it a coincidence, some classified it to be an automated story event. One of the first individuals, who wrote about it on Reddit, went on to call it a glitch later. Many experienced players have stated that such kind of an occurrence has happened earlier in Red Dead Redemption 2. They have, however, stated that this has occurred in multi-player mode and not in single-player mode.

While there is still some confusion about the reasons behind the occurrence of this event, some players feel that this is Rockstar Games’ first attempt at incorporating an in-world event in Red Dead Redemption 2. There is no confirmation on this notion yet as Rockstar Games hasn’t issued any statement about this incident from their end. What is interesting is that while some players reported the presence of snow in the game on Reddit, there are many who have stated not seeing any such thing while playing the game recently.
Many enthusiastic RDR 2 fans got extremely excited to see the snowfall happening in the game and believed that it’s the beginning of Rockstar Games unveiling several Christmas-themed content on the game. Many tried to look for clues that would help in confirming this notion but didn’t find anything substantial. While there is still no clarity around this incident, it did bring in some much-needed holiday cheer for the fans of the game.
