The next big launch, Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2 hybrid tablet has received the nod from the FCC and is expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2017 set to take place by the end of this month.
The FCC page has listed the device with the model number SMW727V which refers to the Samsung tablet. However, there could be slight variations in the numbers as they keep changing based on the region and the version of the device being sold in. The specifications of the 2 in 1 Windows hybrid tablet got leaked earlier according to which it is powered by an Intel Skylake processor.
Another rumor claims that Samsung has managed to upgrade the processor to the latest Kaby lake edition so that it offers better value for their customers. Both Skylake and Kaby Lake are equally powerful processors. It doesn’t make much of a difference if Samsung goes with an older generation chip that used to be the flagship a couple of weeks ago. The Galaxy TabPro S2 will have 4GB of RAM with 256GB SSD for fast performance combined with a AMOLED display.
The tablet has already received Wifi and Bluetooth certification. With all these back to back certifications acquired by Samsung, they have nearly confirmed that the device is scheduled for launch soon. Galaxy S8 was the flagship phone expected to be announced at MWC 2017. However, the company has hardly made such an announcement in the past as they usually unveil the top end Galaxy phone in a dedicated event. After all, when it comes with the Apple iPhone it needs great marketing and Samsung does it with aplomb.
With a 2K resolution display, the ability to function as a tablet and a laptop running on Windows 10, the Galaxy TabPro S2 has generated strong interest among customers. In a time when the concept of tablets and laptops are kind of vague with too many hybrid devices, this one seems plausible because it comes from a reputed manufacturer and runs on the latest hardware. The company has already sent an invite for the big event with a teaser image that also looks like a flagship tablet. We expect Samsung to announce at least two different devices during the Mobile World Congress press meet.
There is no word on pricing and availability for the device but the wait is short. Stay tuned as we will bring it to you as soon as they launch the device.
