Samsung is no longer keeping the Galaxy Note 8 a secret. The company has just taken to its official store with details, including images, of the phone, Android Police reports.
According to the publication, perhaps the South Korean tech giant is not happy with the huge number of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leaks from the recent past, thus deciding to go official even before August 23rd is here, the day the phone will be launched. A lot has been leaked already and in fact, it’s only the pricing details that many are waiting for.
Unfortunately, Samsung has already removed the listing from its store as at the time of this writing, but of course, it left behind trails. Apparently, the company had listed the 64GB unlocked variant of the Galaxy Note 8, which is believed to be the base model. The model number of this variant, SM-N950UZKAXAA, was also left behind and so did trails of features such as the Infinity Display, S-Pen and Bixby, the digital assistant that made its debut with the Galaxy S8.
Something Samsung was careful enough not to reveal was the pricing of the Galaxy Note 8. Nonetheless, previous rumors have suggested that the phone could be priced at about $1000 or maybe more depending on the market or variant you pick. If this happens, it will make the Note 8 the most expensive phone Samsung has ever released to date, but it appears that the Korean company has a way to spice the deal.
CORRECTION: the options are as follows
1. 256GB card + wireless charger
2. 360 cam

According to tipster Evan Blass, those who pre-order the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will get some freebies on top. You will have the option to walk home with either a 256GB microSD card and a wireless charger, or a Gear 360-degree cam. This applies to those in the U.S. and for those in Europe, a Samsung DeX dock will be yours for free.
A Samsung wireless charger should set you back about $40 while the microSD card is about $250, but you can get it at a lot lesser if you search around patiently. That adds up to $290. On the other hand, the Gear 360 cam costs about $230. Not bad for a phone that should cost in excess of $1000, right? As for Europe, the DeX has a price tag of about 150 euros and in some cases cheaper.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 8 will go live on August 24th, but this should (probably) only affect the U.S. market. It seems shipping will begin much sooner than we thought, probably even before the launch of the LG V30 at the IFA 2017 even a week later.
