We know that Samsung Galaxy S8 will not be launched at the MWC 2017 show, but according to some incoming reports from South Korea, the company has plans to tease this phone in a short one-minute video.
Samsung has already sent out press invites for the event that is scheduled to take place on February 26. In the press invitation image, the company has already teased a supposed Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 tablet, which many had expected to be the main star of the show. However, it seems there is more to this event than just the Galaxy Tab S3.
A new report has just surfaced from South Korea and if it’s to be believed, we’ll see the new Samsung Galaxy S8 at the MWC 2017 show in Barcelona. Apparently, the tech giant has plans to showcase the phone in a short video of just one minute in duration. But for now, the exact content of this video is still a mystery.
If this is true, it will only be serving as a backup to an earlier report that had leaked out in mid-January, saying that this phone will be teased at the biggest mobile tech show in the world. In fact, this is arguably the first report that came in with what has now turned out to be the official launch date of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The same person said that this phone will be available for purchase in week 17, which is the week of April 24. Since then, it has been determined that the phone may be in Europe as from April 21 while other markets might get it slightly earlier or later.
Keep in mind that this is not an official communication from Samsung, so better take it with a pinch of salt. But since it’s just days before the MWC 2017 show, we should get to know more details about this rumor in the coming days. Stay tuned!
