Verizon’s latest lot of software updates covers 10 smartphone models of different brands from Samsung to LG to Google Pixel phones.
Except for the two LG models, all other devices have been taken up for updating the Android security patch that Google has released for March 2019. The device-wise details of the March software update from Verizon are as below:
Google Pixel 3 XL
This latest smartphone from Google released last October has already received 4 software updates from Verizon and this is the 5th one. It touches upon the latest March Android security patch and hardly anything else.

Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL
The 17th update for the Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL phones released in October 2017 comes with the Android security patch of March 2019 included in it.
Google Pixel XL
This phone was released by Google in 2016 and 29 software updates have been provided by Verizon to this device sold by it. The current software update comprising the latest Android security patch released on March 4 is the 30th.
Google Pixel
The lower version of the Pixel XL of 2016, this model too is now receiving its 30th software update from Verizon in 3 years. The update is mainly the Android security patch of March 2019.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8
This phone from Samsung too has been updated with the latest Android security patch received by Verizon from Google and adopted to be compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 models it has sold to its customers.
Samsung Galaxy S8+
The 2017 flagship in the S series from Samsung, goes with the moniker G955V within Verizon and the 23rd software update now being received by the device covers only the Android security patch for March 2019.
Samsung Galaxy S8
The poorer cousin of the Samsung Galaxy S8+, the S8, has received a parallel software update like the higher end phone. Except where specific issues are detected and reported in the devices, the manufacturer treats all variants on the same levels as far as the latest security patch is concerned.

LG G7 ThinQ
The first of the two LG models figuring in this list of software updates by Verizon, will get two additional updates, apart from the latest Android security patch. One is being termed the Home app fix and the other LG preloaded apps update.
LG V40 ThinQ
The update details for this device too is identical to the LG G7 ThinQ described above.
