Verizon Now Offering 5G Service on Moto Z2 Force with 5G Moto Mod

5G Moto Mod

5G service in the US has been launched by Verizon in limited states/cities and the number of devices capable of offering the fast connectivity are limited as well.

Verizon is already selling the Moto Z4 at just $10 per month. This is a 2-year plan. Now, from this week, 5G Moto Mod will work with Motorola Z2 Force. The users can add the 5G Moto Mod and enjoy the 5G service of Verizon.

Moto Z4 already has the Android Pie and the 5G capability in built in them. Motorola has also put out a blog in which it has claimed that they have addressed the issue of battery power as well. The company has updated the 5G Moto Mod to allow the powering of the devices between themselves. It has been explained that when the Moto Mod is low on power, the Moto Z series phone will charge the Mod and the reverse will happen if the phone goes low on battery power.

There is also the information in the public domain that Motorola has not passed on the firmware upgrade to Pie for the Moto Z2 Force to the other carriers, like AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. The only reason the Version customers of Moto Z2 Force are receiving the Android Pie is to enable them to use the 5G service with the Moto Mod. Motorola had indicated some months earlier that this would be its approach.

As mentioned, the issue remains that these are early days for the 5G service even in the United States. However, there are also the expectations that 30 more cities would join the grid where Verizon’s 5G ‘Ultra Wideband’ service would be made available. By then, those using the Motorola devices in these cities may be the ones to first enjoy the high-speed service. The three devices are the Moto Z4, the Moto Z3 and the Moto Z2 Force.

Verizon has a number of offers going with the bundled plans and if you are planning to switching over to a 5G connected internet service, this might be the best option. Your device will be converted into a turbo machine with download speeds you would not have experienced before.
