Verizon has sent out system updates for three phones from three different brands. They are Samsung Galaxy A50, Moto G7 Play and LG Stylo 5.
Samsung Galaxy A50 is being updated with some improvements in the fingerprint sensor while Moto G7 Play has only the Android security update patch. The third device, the LG Stylo 5 gets certain updates in the camera and gallery apps besides the security update. Here are the details along with the respective software update versions.
Samsung Galaxy A50
The key change in this latest system update from Verizon is in the fingerprint recognition department. With the update in this feature, users will need to first remove all the fingerprints registered on the device previously and then re-do the registration again. The improvement must fix the issues reported earlier.
The latest November patch for the Android security update is also included in this pack. Samsung has started sending out the December security update patches to the unlocked Exynos SoC fitted Samsung Galaxy A50 devices in the US. Verizon could be awaiting the Android 10 update for the device as well.
Motorola Moto G7 Play [and Unlocked G6 Plus]
For the Moto G7 Play, this is the first system update from Verizon. This update brings the latest security patch for the device which is dated October 1. There is no other change being brought about in this system update from Verizon.
Another device from Motorola, the Moto G6 Plus, is also receiving the November security update patch in some of the South American markets. This is for the unlocked devices in this region though!
LG Stylo 5
This second system update from Verizon for the LG Stylo 5 contains what the carrier mentions as fundamental application updates besides the security update. The updates include the facility to add stickers to the images clicked with the camera in the device. You can pick a photo from the Gallery also and add a sticker while sharing the photo. There are choices of stickers to choose from.
The Android security update patch of October 2019 is included in the pack as well.
