Vivo V5 Plus is the first smartphone in the world featuring a dual lens front camera with 20 MP resolution, and has hit the shelves on the 27th Jan.
After the unveiling of the Vivo V5 Plus by the Chinese manufacturer, the phone was available for pre ordering and it was available on sale from yesterday. It is a mid range device and will be competing with selfie centric smartphones, for instance, the Oppo F1, the Gionee S6, the Lenovo Z2 Plus and so on.
Southeast Asia/India
The Vivo V5 Plus is now available for purchase in Southeast Asia and in India. Vivo is interested in expanding the market globally, but it seems that the Vivo V5 Plus may not be sold in Europe or in North America.
First Smartphone 20 MP Dual Lens
The Vivo V5 Plus is the world’s first camera sporting a 20 MP dual lens for its selfie or front camera. In addition, this is not Vivo’s first attempt at being the world’s first, as Vivo had already brought in the first smartphone with 6 GB of RAM. It is being touted that the dual lens front camera for selfies can shoot perfect pictures even in dim light conditions. It means that the LED offers a soft, bright white color, acting as an illumination source for the faces seen in the selfie, when it is comparatively dark. The phone is said to be an imaging specific device for taking selfies.
Apart from the 20 MP and the 8 MP dual lens front camera, the Vivo V5 Plus also offers a very impressive 16 MP camera for the rear.
Music and Photography
These are the two top fields that the new Vivo V5 Plus is offering a rich experience in. Mobile phone photographs and music are the two significant features that owners like to make use of in expressing themselves. The new Vivo V5 Plus continues offering these two features. According to the Global VP of Vivo, Alex Feng, the company is in the process of creating 7 R&D centers in the Silicon Valley and also in San Diego along with 5 other cities in China. This is being done in an attempt to offer the best of technical innovations for users this year.
