Google Pixel and Pixel XL are great phones, but the rate at which they are developing issues with each and every update is alarming.
One of the most annoying issues in the recent past was concerning Bluetooth connectivity. A few days ago, the tech giant rolled out a server-side update that was meant to fix these connectivity issues. While some owners of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL have confirmed that the update made the problem go away, it appears that others are still experiencing it.
Google Pixel and Pixel XL users facing the problem have taken to the company’s product forums to express their frustrations. Where some are experiencing Bluetooth drops without any disconnections, others are experiencing the latter, which is even more annoying.
In another rather isolated problem, one of our readers has complained that their Google Pixel XL is showing a weird issue with the Camera app, almost same as what some users of the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Samsung Galaxy S7 have been experiencing for the past days. Apparently, the Pixel XL owner, Louise Nelson, says that the phone has an issue with the “Save photo” action right after some adjustments are made to a pic. Apparently, the phone is unable to save the changes to the photo and even though it keeps on trying to complete the action, there’s no success, eventually. The reader adds that the only way to exit this non-functioning mode is, well, “to exit everything.”
While this one might not be software-related, another major problem that the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are still facing is availability. You might still be able to place an order for the phones, however, the wait time is what might put you off. If not weeks, you will have to sit around for months waiting for your Pixel or Pixel XL phone to be shipped. This hasn’t been taken down so well by some customers, with some unsure if they’ll think of getting a new Pixel phone in future.
