Google Project Fi is doing everything possible to ensure that it keeps on growing its user base while at the same time keeping current users happy.
Whether it is offering subscribers a free $10 Google Play Store gift card or $20 bill credit for referring new users to the platform, there is something worth smiling about for users of this wireless mobile service. In the latest attempt to keep Project Fi subscribers happy, Google has installed a vending machine at San Jose Airport where willing persons can pass by the “shop” and get free accessories related to traveling.
Apparently, the vending machine is located at Terminal B, located across from gate 25 and here, all Google Project Fi users can get free goodies such as socks, eye masks as well as charging cables that can be helpful for those traveling during this busy holiday season. This information came out through the official Google Project Fi Twitter account, however, there is a catch.
For starters, this is the only Google Project Fi vending machine in the country. In addition, the goodies can only be redeemed one at a time in a period of 24 hours. What this means is that you only get one chance to get a free pair of socks, eye masks or charging cable in a day.
Google has also detailed out a simple procedure needed to redeem the freebies for Project Fi users. Using your Google Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Nexus 5X or any of the two Google Pixel phones, dial *#*#FLYWITHFI#*#*(*#*#359948434#*#*) and a unique QR code will be generated on your phone’s screen. The Google Project Fi vending machine has a scanner that you should use to scan this unique QR code and from there, you can easily pick the free goodie you want to redeem.
This code can be reused, but you will have to wait for another 24 hours before reusing it. In case of any issues with generating the QR code, you can contact the Google Project Fi team for assistance.
