Rockstar Games is all set to launch Grand Theft Auto V on Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5 on March 14.
The gaming publisher has confirmed this in an officially released statement. Once GTA 5 releases on Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5, it will hugely benefit from the graphical strength of these consoles. There will also be a possibility of sourcing out Story Mode progress from older consoles.

Rockstar Games is also planning to release a standalone version of GTA Online that will be compatible with next-generation consoles. Some users will get to use it for free for the first three months. Users will also get the option of skipping the Grand Theft Auto V Story Mode prologue before they start playing GTA Online.
As per Rockstar Games’ recently published post, Grand Theft Auto V will have better graphics and other technical specifications on Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5. People will get to play these games at 4k resolution and experience better audio quality too. Along with HDR support, these consoles will also offer 3D audio support and high-speed loading times. Games will benefit hugely from many wonderful platform-specific features including high-end haptic feedback on the DualSense Controllers on the PlayStation.

If you have played GTA 5 on your Xbox One or PlayStation 4, you can take the game ahead from where you stopped it during your last session by using the one-time migration option and transferring your saves to the next-generation consoles. Rockstar Games made this particular announcement while confirming that the company was working towards the development of the next game in the GTA series. Though the final title of the game has not been revealed yet, the gaming publisher assured fans that the development process is happening at a good pace.
