The animations in Mass Effect Andromeda had come under strong criticism.
While many players expected the Day One patch to fix it, the current situation seems it is not going to be the one they expected.
Most AAA titles released these days receive a day one patch on release date making changes to the game, fixing performance problems and add gameplay improvements. Andromeda early access build on Xbox One and PC platforms are already bundled with the Day One patch, confirmed Ian Frazier, the game’s lead designer. He made the announcement on his Twitter channel much to the dismay of gamers because it has nothing do with the sub par animations found in the game.
“Hello folks, the day 1 patch is included in the early access build. The live support team has confirmed me and it’s on both Xbox One and PC platforms. I would like to clarify that there is a day 1 patch but it’s already in the game within the early access builds,” said Frazier in his Twitter feed.

He clarified that it is not possible to include animation changes on the first patch because they have already shipped the content. The team is discussing the possibilities to add new stuff and improvements to Mass Effect Andromeda in later patches. “We will have more patches later on but not this one. We are yet to finalize what should go in future patches,” he added.
The game is still in its early access week and will be officially released for everyone by next week. Players who have signed up for EA Access on Xbox One, Origin Access on PC will gain access to Mass Effect Andromeda earlier. They will be able to play the game for up to 10 hours before everyone else. All the progress made will be carried forward to the game once it’s available later.
The graphical quality has been of much debate as many players feel it looks really outdated and is done in a hurry. However, Andromeda developers suggest you need a Nvidia GTX 1060 to play the game in high graphics on a 1080p display. A GTX 1080 Ti is required to play the game in 4K at 60 frames per second with all graphics settings in ultra. Mass Effect Andromeda will launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on March 21st. It has also been specifically optimized to run with best visual fidelity on the PS4 Pro platform.
