Samsung Galaxy A60 (SM-A6060) Bags Bluetooth SIG Approval Ahead of April 19 Launch

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A60 has been approved by the Bluetooth SIG body which hints at imminent release in the near future.

Usually, it takes a few weeks to around a month for a smartphone to go official after appearing on the Bluetooth SIG database. Rumors have it that the Galaxy A60 will be announced on April 19.

The Bluetooth SIG listing of the Galaxy A60 (SM-A6060 model number) confirms that it will be equipped with Bluetooth 5.0. The entire specifications of the smartphone were revealed through a leaked internal document that had surfaced in the previous week.

The Galaxy A60 is expected to arrive with a Super AMOLED display of 6.7 inches. The display is expected to sport Infinity-U shaped notch and it will carry support for full HD+ resolution. Also, it will be embedded with an in-display fingerprint reader. The smartphone may come equipped with a plastic body with glossy finish.

Galaxy A60 Specs

Samsung is known for using its Exynos chipset to power its handsets. However, the Galaxy A60 is expected to be fueled by the Snapdragon 675 mobile platform by Qualcomm. The 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants of the Galaxy A60 will include 128 GB of storage. The Android 9 Pie OS will come loaded on the device along with Samsung’s One UI.

The Galaxy A60 smartphone will be drawing power from a big battery of 4,500 mAh capacity. Probably, the smartphone will carry support for 15W fast charging like the recently announced Galaxy A50 phone. The front notch of the phone will be featuring a 32-megapixel. The back panel of the phone may come with a vertical 32-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel triple camera unit.

The leaked document also states that the Galaxy A60 will be made official on April 19. However, there is no official confirmation from Samsung on the existence of A60 handset. It is speculated to debut in China as Galaxy A8s Lite.
