Tekken 7 is gearing up to arrive on various gaming consoles and the PC sometime this year, which is most likely to be early July.
The development team is all set to increase players’ excitement by offering various special editions of the game to celebrate its arrival. Each edition developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment has something unique to attract people and retain their interest throughout the fighting game. It is worth noting that all special editions feature the basic game apart from the new additions.
One of the many editions that players can lay their hands on is the Collector’s Edition. Gamers will not fail to notice a statue of the key character Kazuya. The statue is designed such that it is planning to strike on Heihachi that in turn will have a devastating effect. The game also showcases a steelbook case. Throughout the game, players will be treated to the familiar official soundtrack of Tekken.
A second edition that will be available for gamers to buy if they wish to do so is the Digital Deluxe Edition. This bundle of Tekken 7 makes a season pass available along with the standard base game. This season pass supports a horde of customization options by allowing users to download a slew of new stages, characters and costumes, among many other options. Not only this, the season pass allows players to work their way through the game using an extra game mode. It is worth noting that developers have said that the downloadable content offered by the season pass may also be available for purchase separately. However, there is no clear information as of now, if this will actually be possible in due course.
Yet another special edition that will add to the gamers’ thrill of playing Tekken 7 will be the Steelbook Edition. This edition will be available for buying from EB Games Australia, and is developed to support Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles, apart from the PC. True to its name, the highlight of this version of the game is a steelbook, which is designed to showcase special artwork.
Needless to say, all the above special editions will cost more than the standard edition. Fans who do not find this feasible and decide to buy just the home version need not be disappointed. They can opt to buy the base Tekken 7 via pre-order. When they do this, they will be able to avail the downloadable character Eliza for free. Eliza first made her appearance in the game’s prequel, Tekken Revolution.
