Verizon’s software updates have been sent to a clutch of Samsung devices including Samsung Galaxy J3, Galaxy J7 and Galaxy Note 9.
Almost all these devices, launched in 2017 and 2018, are receiving the latest security patch updates while some performance improvements have been included too. Details as given below:
Samsung Galaxy J3 V (3rd Gen.)
This 2018 smartphone has been given the 4th system update; the last time this device received its software update was in December last. The Samsung Galaxy J3 V (3rd Gen.) has a 5 inch display, runs on the Android Oreo version 8.0 and has 16 GB internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.)
There is no major difference in the basic specifications and features of the Samsung Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) from the Verizon variant with a V suffix seen above. Verizon offers this variant with some tweaks. There is no change in the other details as well, like the update being the 4th. Software security update patch is the major component of this update.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2nd Gen.)
The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2nd Gen.) comes with a 5.5 inch display, 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. The Android Oreo, version 8.0 is the OS in this device. The phone now receives from Verizon the latest Android security patch released for March. The phone too got its last update from Verizon in December last.
Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2nd Gen.)
The Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2nd Gen.) is a phone launched in 2017, with a 5.5 inch TFT display, 2GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and Android Oreo version 8.0 as the OS. The J series phones are positioned by Samsung as mid-segment phones to cater to a particular segment of buyers. This Verizon variant of Galaxy J7 is receiving its 4th update from Verizon which has the latest security update patch.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9
This is a flagship device from Samsung in the Note series and released just months earlier. With a 6.4 inch super AMOLED display and a top 8 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage, the phone has already received the update to the Android Pie, version 9. The phone is receiving its 6th update which comprises the latest March Android security patches.
