Upcoming smartphones namely Moto G7, G7 Power and G7 Play have received approval from Bluetooth SIG body.
The Bluetooth certifications of these devices confirm the model numbers of the Moto G7, G7 Power and G7 Play and also reveal that they will come preloaded with Android 9 Pie OS.
The Bluetooth SIG certification reveals that model numbers XT1962-1, XT1962-4, XT1962-5, XT1962-6 belong to Moto G7. XT1955-1, XT1955-2, XT1955-3, XT1955-4, XT1955-5, XT1955-6, XT1955-7 and XT1952DL belong to the Moto G7 Power. The model numbers XT1952-1, XT1952-2, XT1952-3, XT1952-4, XT1952-5 and XT1952DL belong to Motorola Moto G7 Play.
Moto G7 Specs
It is speculated that the Snapdragon 660 chipset and 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB internal storage could be present under the hood of the Moto G7 smartphone. The display size would be 6.2 inches and the overall screen size would be 6.57 inches, based on information obtained from FCC.
Moto G7 Power Specs
Moto G7 Power comes with a 6.45 inch screen size with display size measuring about 6.2 inches. It comes with just a single rear camera and a LED flash. The G7 Power could be packed with Snapdragon 625 SoC and a behemoth battery of 5,000 mAh capacity.
Moto G7 Play Specs
Moto G7 Play is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 632 SoC and Adreno 506 GPU as found from the FCC documentation. It will have just 3000 mAh battery which is pretty disappointing, a 5W charger and a fingerprint scanner at the rear along with dual cameras.
Moto G7 Plus Specs
The Moto G7 Plus also belongs to the Moto G7 series. The handset has not appeared on the Bluetooth SIG site yet. There is a possibility that the Snapdragon 710 chipset will be driving force of the G7 Plus handset. It may include a battery of 3,500 mAh capacity.
Moto G7 Series Release Date
Motorola is expected to unleash the Moto G7, G7 Plus, G7 Power and G7 Play phones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech expo event in February 2019. At present, there is no information available on the pricing of the Moto G7 series. Motorola is also expected to release Snapdragon 855 chipset powered Moto Z4 (codenamed ‘Odin’) in the first half of the coming year.
